Our Story

In the 2010s, Michael and Kathleen O'Connor began supporting Rohingya refugees in Chicago, eventually founding FORA in 2019 to help refugee students succeed in school. Over five years, FORA grew significantly, serving over 100 students from 10 countries, expanding its services, and celebrating student milestones.
