Virtual Tutoring
How it Works
Virtual volunteers attend one-hour Zoom sessions Mondays through Thursdays and lead tutoring using FORA's individualized curricula. FORA students attend virtual tutoring sessions from our building and are supervised by FORA staff.

Mon-Thurs 4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. CT
Mon-Thurs 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. CT
Mon-Thurs 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. CT
Mon-Thurs 8:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. CT
During onboarding virtual tutors receive the following materials to best prepare them to lead tutoring sessions!
1. Training covering FORA's methodology, learning tools and best practices
2. FORA's volunteer handbook
3. Staff support during tutoring sessions
4. Virtual tools like whiteboard and annotate
